Thrifting Thursday - Napa Valley Finds

If you follow my instagram, you know that we spent Spring Break in Napa Valley camping with Riley.    I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a little thrifting while I was there.  In the little town of Cloverdale, CA,  I hit the jack pot.

I found a lot of great nick nacky accessories and a fabulous lamp at the local Goodwill.

I found a lamp base and a separate glass fixture and put them together to make a funky lamp.

The art deco-ish glass sconce fit perfectly onto the lamp.

And then I went across the street to The Ice House and found this amazing topographical map of Alaska for just $10.

What have you found thrifting lately?  I'd love to hear about your treasures.

  1. I went thrifting yesterday and found a large wood table top like this: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/largeteak.html. Just need to add some legs to it. And two small busts of a little boy and a little girl. Totally creepy but in a cool way.

    1. Awesome!!!! Some hair pin legs, maybe in a fun pastel or neon could be amazing - just a thought :)

    1. The shade is my fave too. Go, go find a thrift store. Who knows what you'll find - it's always an adventure.

    1. It's fun, right? I think I need to frame it, might have to be a custom job. The hubby was born and raised in Anchorage, AK and my daughter's name is Denali, so this is definitely a keeper.

  5. So so good! You find the best stuff! Just got back from Germany where I went to a spectacular flea market; my favorite pieces are a huge antler shed that customs luckily let me keep, a vintage botanical school poster from the GDR, and a black-and-white striped sugar jar. If I were wealthier I'd be a hoarder.
