Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are quite yummy.  If your favorite part of a muffin is the top, then this is the cookie for you.  These are soft, moist, cakey cookies.  I made these for the first week of school.  It's important to have some good snacks in lunches on the first couple of days back at school.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 bananas smashed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/3 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup pecans chopped finely (or walnuts if you prefer)

Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer.  Mix in bananas, eggs and vanilla.  Add the flour salt and baking powder.  Mix until completely combined.  Add in chocolate chips and pecans.  Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet for about 12 mins. at 375 F or until they are just browning around the edges.  Cool on a wire rack.

  3. You must be a fan of Sweet Lulu. You have similar pictures of treats, milk glass bottles and fun stripey straws. I love her stuff!

  4. Actually I just came across shopsweetlulu not too long ago. I wish I would have known about that site a long time ago. It took me a long time to find and save up enough bottles for my son's bday party. They do have a lot of cute stuff. Next party I will be ordering from them.
