Coral and Kelly Green Home Office Inspiration

I'm really excited to share my next big project with you.  I get a do a total room makeover of a home office.  My client is giving me total creative freedom in the space (let's hope she doesn't regret this).  She wants a clean, modern, and organized space.  I'm hoping that this fun coral and kelly green color combo is going to bring energy to the space.  There will be a lot of white in the room, so I think the pops of color will really stand out.  I'm adding a lot of graphic black and whites as well to create contrast and pattern.

So, here's where I'm heading with the room.  I'm hunting in all my favorite thrift stores and searching Craiglist for unique pieces that I can give a little DIY love to.  I'm hoping for a great mix of old and new.

We're currently camping in Napa Valley this week, it's our Spring Break.  I'm dealing with some very spotty Wifi.  If you'd like to know more about the sources for these items, just let me know.  I'd be happy to share.  And a lot of the inspiration sources can be found on this pinterest board.

  1. You doing interior design? Im just wondering since you are saying client. Or is it more like a friend asking you to help them with a room. This is definitely something I have never seen on your blog. You do alot of stuff but never room makeovers for others and stuff. I always just thought based on posts I ve read that you are sticking to blogging and then going back to teaching? Good luck with what ever you choose to do .

  2. I have to say I agree with "Anonymous". This room design theme on your blog is a very new avenue. It seems like you already have a lot of things going on so why design/decor too now? I am just totally curious, as your reader. I like to know what motivates the bloggers behind the blogs I read. By the way I do like coral right now but could never pull it off in my home I don't think. Kelly

    1. Interiors and design are a major theme on my blog. I'm just starting to take it beyond my own home. I'm curious, why do you read my blog? What kind of posts do you like to see?

    1. Yay! Oh, I'm glad you are getting a new house, hopefully more space with baby on the way. We should be thrifting or flea marketing together Grace. Think of the possibilities with two redheads on the hunt together.

    2. Sorry Jeran (and to your mom who is obviously over protective). I don't have an address to post. I think the words cowardly are harsh and a bit mean. Call me stupid I guess I don't blog or know how to set up twitter and stuff. I do have yahoo but that is not an option to post on here. I forgot to leave my name so again Im sorry that upset you. I wasn't meaning to sound unsupportive or rude but I can see that is how it was taken. I won't be back to disturb you or your mom. Good luck it sounds like a great job to go after.

  8. How great is that pillow from Ikea? I bought it the minute I saw it last year. And I'm tempted to buy another one as a backup in case anything ever happens to my original.
