Well, Olivia is 6 weeks old and I was itching to get out. A hunt through a flea market was what I was craving. I haven't been to the Pasadena flea market since January. Life has been busy and I was quite large for most of this year. So, when I realized this week that it was the 2nd Sunday of the Month, I knew I needed to head to Pasadena. I put a call out on Facebook, inviting anyone to join me (and I really would like to take any of my blog friends with me). My good friend and my sister in law ended up joining me. We took the truck this time. I have never had a truck at the Flea Market and have always struggled to fit everything in. But, this time we didn't need the truck. No one bought anything large or bulky. I was on the hunt for vintage Christmas decorations. I had in mind that I wanted some glass ornaments and little bottle brush trees. I found both and more. I'll share pictures of my finds soon.
A highlight from the day was that I bumped into Antonio Ballatore from HGTV's The Antonio Treatment. I'm a fan. I watched and cheered him on when he won Design Star. He is unique and thinks outside the box. I have met him before at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. So, I decided to introduce myself again. He is very gracious and personable, I really appreciate that. He was not bothered by me interrupting his shopping. We talked design for a while and looked at some old kimono silk screens. He even was so kind as to take a picture with Olivia and I.
That is one serious beard going there!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat!! Rob and I cheered for him on Design Star too! We love his show! - Janell
ReplyDeleteI had to look closely at first glance because I thought maybe Lonnie had decided to grow the beard! :) HA!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny, he has a beard right now actually. Antonio has a few more tats then Lon though.
